SlipSplit

SlipSplit is a restaurant receipt scanner that splits costs between diners using AI, developed by DarkMatter DevWorks. We respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. This page explains what data we store, how you can request its deletion, and what to expect during the process.

What Data We Store

When you use SlipSplit, we may collect and store the following types of data:

  • User Account Information: Your name and email address obtained through Google Sign-In, used to create and manage your account.
  • Scanned Receipt Data and Split Calculations: Data extracted from scanned restaurant receipts, including itemized costs, totals, and the calculated splits between diners.
  • Diner Profiles and Payment Preferences: Profiles you create for frequent dining companions and any saved payment preferences or splitting rules.

How to Request Deletion

If you would like to request the deletion of your data, please send an email to us with the following details:

Include: The email address associated with your SlipSplit account so we can locate and remove your data.

What Happens When You Request Deletion

Once we receive your data deletion request, the following steps will take place:

  • We will verify your identity by matching the email in your request with the account on file.
  • All personal data associated with your account will be permanently deleted from our servers, including your account information, scanned receipt data, split calculations, and diner profiles.
  • You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion has been completed.

Important: Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once your data has been deleted, it cannot be recovered. Please make sure you have saved any information you may need before submitting your request.

Expected Response Timeframe

We aim to process all data deletion requests within 30 days of receipt. You will receive an acknowledgment email confirming that your request has been received, followed by a final confirmation once the deletion process is complete. If we require additional information to verify your identity, we will reach out to you, and the 30-day period will begin once verification is complete.

Additional Information

  • Certain anonymized or aggregated data that cannot be used to identify you may be retained for analytics and service improvement purposes, even after your personal data has been deleted.
